The Supply Chain Doctor
is a global network of leading consultants which has a unique combination of experiences and
knowledge in the area of Supply Chain Management, Advanced Planning and
Scheduling, Enterprise Resource Planning and Sales and Operations Planning.
The Supply Chain Doctor
is the brainchild of Dr Stephen Franks, a leading international authority on
planning and scheduling. He was formerly President of Scheduling Technology Group,
a world leader in the application of The Theory of Constraints and
constraint based planning and scheduling systems and Vice President of
Manufacturing Strategy for Manugistics Inc, the leader in Supply Chain
Management systems.
Through his work over the past twenty years with many of the globe’s largest
industrial companies, Dr Franks has built a significant knowledge base which
he now is intent on sharing with the manufacturing community, particularly
those companies who are unable or unwilling to throw systems at problems.
Dr Franks has worked with hundreds of major international businesses in industries as diverse as Brewing, Aerospace, Food, Automotive, Steel and Electronics amongst many others. His background in
production management within a large Chemical and Pharmaceutical group,
Rhone Poulenc, also brings valuable experience in delivering practical
workable solutions in this exacting industry and similar process related
businesses.
Of particular interest to Dr Franks is making experiences gleaned by working
with the largest of companies available for the benefit of others, many of whom experience even greater pressures and threats.
Dr Franks is a sought after speaker
in the international conference circuit having presented at American Production and Inventory Control Society,
British Production and Inventory Control Society and South African
Production and Inventory Control Society conferences regularly during the
past fifteen years. He has also presented at major national and commercial
conferences in Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Australia, Japan and
Korea during his career.
