The Supply Chain Doctor uses a Five stage process in order to help Companies with Supply Chain Management assistance: Advise, Audit, Propose, Implement and Measure. Each of these is a stand alone offering which can be combined as required to give a complete one stop Supply Chain Management consultancy service. |
We provide advice in a number of ways:
STEP 1: A limited but totally free internet based questions and answer service designed to frame and size the problem and to give useful tips, advice and guidance to business managers who need some independent input to help them with their day to day challenges.
STEP 2: A retainer based supply chain advisory service that will dedicate an agreed amount of time each month to assist a business and/or an executive tackle key challenges within his operational sphere of influence. Such time will be chargeable at attractive rates for even the smallest of companies. Such services will normally be supplied off site but may involve an initial on site analytical visit to quantify the opportunities and potential benefits of employing an improvement strategy.
STEP 3: An on site consultancy service specifically designed to work hand in hand with the business in addressing its operational challenges in meeting its needs. Such work is normally agreed to be part reward based ensuring that clients invest when they obtain benefits.
Some businesses will be happy to just take advantage of the first step service, whilst others will work face to face with us to meet their needs. The option is yours and there is no commitment made at any stage to invest without full discussion and agreement
Stage Two: Audit
We believe that a good starting point for any initiative in this area is to fully understand where you are with your internal processes and to appreciate where you wish to go. In this way we can evaluate your business processes, give insight into where the strengths and weaknesses might exist which are inhibiting the completion of your objectives and report on where we believe you can make enhancements to your operating procedures. We have undertaken a variety of audits over the years with clients looking at methodology, organization, system strategy and performance measurement procedures amongst many others.
Stage Three: Propose
From the audit of your operations our team will be able to propose to you what actions are required in your business to assist you in completing your objectives. Examples of such proposals may be the introduction of new processes to better manage your operations, or the suggestion of new system elements which will compliment your existing decision support infrastructure.
Stage Four: Implement
We believe that management may require assistance in implementing initiatives to improve their operations. The Supply Chain Doctor is keen to work with your internal teams in implementing new working practices, installing and commissioning new systems, providing education and
training in new ideologies or project managing the implementation if required. Our team is steeped with significant experience and knowledge on how best to execute these programs through similar work in most industry areas over the past twenty years
Stage Five: Measure
You get what you measure out of your operational systems and processes. We believe passionately that effective performance measurement provides the necessary leverage to obtain further and ongoing improvements to your business. Our team will help you set up these monitoring and measurement procedures and work with you in understanding how best to interpret the results and use them for ongoing benefit.
